Forest Park is a Chicago suburb directly west of downtown Chicago. Originally named Harlem the name was changed when the Forest Park Amuement Park opened during the late 19th century. It has also been home to a horse racing track, golf course and womens baseball stadium. Nowadays all that is long gone and the town is best known as to being the home for far more dead people than living. Because of all the cemetaries.

For a long time it was boardered by the dry towns of Oak Park and River Forest so the Madison Ave. strip was full of bars catering to those thirsty "dry's". Nowadays there are still a fair number of bars but a lot of nice restaraunts and shops. On my ChiTownView YouTube station I have a playlist of Forest Park videos check it out.
